Motel room was cleaner than usual. The machines were all in good working order, the breakfast buffet was delicious as usual. The sandwich shop had good food and was nice and clean, like it usually is. All of the employees were friendly and helpful.
We weren’t impressed. Stayed in Deadwood and hit this place on our way home for a night. We did run into a few employees who seemed to be welcoming, and upbeat, but on the whole, staff seemed like they detested working there and the detested interacting with customers. We ate there, slept there, played there, same feeling of “If I have too” everywhere. Deadwood was smoke free, this place was very smokey, and it makes it hard to stay at a machine, you start to feel nauseous. I posted a review on Facebook after our stay and stated that dealing with the issues would be welcomed, there was no canned response from the casino, but a nasty response from an employee there with a reaction from a coworker stating we need to go to Deadwood instead. We had already come to that conclusion, but we do hope they improve the place.
We like going to this place for the water park. Always nice and warm inside and not to overly crowded. Good place for bday parties
You cannot beat the Shooting Star for its variety in gaming entertainment, quality accommodations, friendly service, and great food available 24/7. Kudos to them for an extensive non-smoking slots area! They have added several updates and renovations over the years that I have been a regular customer there. They frequently have top-notch headliner musical shows in a fantastic venue as well. Love, love, love it!
Was at concert on 12-15-17, general admissions and had too many young people drunk behind us otherwise excellent concert and love the shuttle!
